ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and the next wave don’t crawl the web the same way Google Search does. They need structure, clarity, and signal. Sites that provide it get cited. Sites that don’t go invisible.

Appear handles this automatically — one DNS record. Your job is to find the companies that need it and help them understand why.

What you’ll own

In the first 90 days:

  • Lead discovery calls with mid-market and enterprise companies across SaaS, agencies, ecommerce, financial services, and healthcare
  • Own your entire sales cycle: target identification through deal close
  • Bring customer feedback back to the product team — your input shapes what we build
  • Build a pipeline that actually closes. Velocity and conversion matter here.

The best deals need a real conversation. That’s your lane.

Must-haves

  • 2–5 years of B2B SaaS sales experience — you know your numbers (close rate, pipeline velocity, what your ICP actually converts at)
  • Comfortable with outbound. You pick up the phone and send thoughtful emails without waiting for inbound
  • You understand why the problem matters. AI visibility isn’t a buzzword to you — you get why companies need it
  • You work backwards from customer outcomes, not sales targets. You’re not trying to close deals that shouldn’t be closed
  • You commit once a decision is made and you move fast

Nice to have

  • You’ve sold infrastructure or technical products before
  • You understand how DNS, CDNs, or crawler infrastructure works
  • You’ve worked at a Series A stage company

The product is real. We sit between every customer’s website and AI crawlers at the DNS layer. Customers see their content cited by ChatGPT and Perplexity for the first time. You’ll get to hear that story directly.

We move fast and we’re honest about the risks. We’re past MVP but not yet dominant. Growth is real but not guaranteed. You’ll be helping build go-to-market from the ground up, which means you own more and you also carry more uncertainty.

Base salary + commission. Genuine equity. Work from anywhere — we’re spread across Europe and North America.
