How profiles are generated
Profiles are generated automatically from your site content when you sync your domain. Appear reads your published pages, extracts the factual content, and restructures it into clean, semantic HTML with proper schema markup. You can review and edit generated profiles in the dashboard before they go live.
OpenAI / ChatGPT
Receives schema-rich JSON-LD context with comprehensive entity relationships, feature descriptions, and brand positioning. Optimized for ChatGPT search and answer synthesis while keeping OpenAI crawler roles, such as OAI-SearchBot and GPTBot, distinct.
Perplexity (PerplexityBot)
Receives citation-ready direct answers with source-attributable statements. Formatted for Perplexity's real-time fetch model. Responses are fast, complete, and designed to be quotable with inline source links.
Claude
Receives reasoning-context-rich responses that explain trade-offs, comparisons, and contextual relationships. Optimized for Claude's analytical synthesis style across Anthropic crawler roles such as ClaudeBot and Claude-SearchBot.
Google AI surfaces
Receives entity-aligned structured data where crawler policy allows it, while Googlebot remains focused on the original human-visible site for traditional Search. The profile focuses on brand identity, product categories, and entity relationships without treating Google-Extended as the control for Search AI inclusion.
Content equivalence
The flavour variations across platforms change structural presentation only. The factual content across every variation is identical: the same company description, the same product names, the same pricing, the same FAQs. Packaging differs; substance does not.
